Why Zan

What the studio adds

  • 01

    One team, brief to ads

The same company shoots the film, edits it, posts the Reels, runs the ads and builds the page they land on. The handover between the shoot and the spending is a conversation rather than a brief to a second agency.

  • 02

    Kolkata base, pan-India delivery

The studio is in Kolkata, which is where the cost base sits, and the crew travels for a shoot. Travel, stay and local crew are their own lines in the estimate rather than folded into a day rate.

  • 03

    Bengali, Hindi and English

Every film can be delivered in all three, subtitled in post. One shoot covers the regional campaign and the national one instead of two.

Compliance

Creator disclosure

Every creator post we manage carries an ASCI-compliant disclosure label.

FAQ

Questions about the studio

What a film costs, what you own, how long it takes, and who runs the ads afterwards.

  • There is no list price, because two films of the same length rarely need the same shoot. What moves the figure is the number of shoot days, the size of the crew, whether there is cast to audition and pay, how many locations are involved and what permits they need, how much art direction the script asks for, how many cut-downs and platform versions you want out of the one shoot, and whether the film has to be delivered to broadcast spec. We quote after the brief call, as a line-item estimate that prices each part of the shoot on its own, so you can see what a second shoot day or an extra location is worth before you agree to it. Ask for a quote and the numbers come back in writing before anyone books a camera.

  • UGC ads are sold in packs of 5, 10 or 20 videos, so five is the smallest order. Every pack comes with the scripts, the hooks, the captions and the raw clips, and with paid usage rights for a set period that is agreed before the shoot. A pack of five is enough to find out whether the format works for your product, and a larger pack gives the ads team more openings to test against each other inside the same month.

  • Yes. The studio is in Kolkata and the crew travels, so a shoot can run wherever the campaign needs it in India. A shoot away from Kolkata is planned exactly like one here: locations and permits are settled in the script stage, days 3 to 7, and the shoot itself still runs 1 to 3 days. Travel, stay and local crew are listed as their own lines in the estimate rather than folded into a day rate, so you can see what moving the shoot costs before you decide where it happens.

  • It depends on who appears in the film, and delivery puts it in writing. Film we shoot for you is handed over as final masters, cut-downs and platform versions, together with a usage-rights note that says what you can run, where, and for how long. Where a creator or a cast member appears, the rights are the ones their contract grants: a UGC pack carries paid usage rights for a set period agreed before the shoot, and creator content you want to run as a paid ad from your handle or theirs is covered by a usage-rights contract signed before the ad goes live. An extension or a new territory beyond that period is agreed and priced with the creator rather than assumed.

  • Yes, both are part of pre-production. Casting and location scouting run in the script stage, days 3 to 7, and you are given cast options and location options to choose from rather than a single name. The permits those locations need are arranged in the same stage, and the call sheet that comes out of it tells everyone where to be and when. Fashion and lifestyle shoots add styling and on-set direction for the models. Cast fees, location fees and permits are their own lines in the estimate, so you can see what each one adds before the shoot is booked.

  • Counting from the first call: the brief takes a day or two, the script, storyboard, casting and locations take days 3 to 7, the shoot itself runs 1 to 3 days, and the edit, colour, sound, captions and platform versions take 5 to 10 days after that. Added up, a single film is two to three weeks end to end. What stretches it is approvals on the script, a shoot waiting on a location or a cast member, and the number of language versions and cut-downs on the delivery list. The dates are set at the brief stage and you get the call sheet before the shoot.

  • Yes, and it is a handover rather than a referral. Delivery ends with the final files and the usage-rights note, and if you want it the same handover goes to the team that runs your paid media and your social calendar, so the cut-downs arrive already named and sized for the placements they will run in. Performance ad creatives are built for that from the start: a batch is shot with three to five openings per video, and the ads team tests the openings against each other and keeps the ones that sell. You can also take the files and run them yourself. Either way the shoot and the spend are briefed by the same people.

  • Yes. Every creator post we manage carries the disclosure label ASCI requires, and the check is part of the campaign work rather than left to the creator: the brief says which label to use and where it has to appear, the post is approved before it goes live, and the disclosure is checked on the live post. Barter posts from seeded creators and creator content you run as paid ads from the creator's handle are treated the same way. The campaign report lists the posts alongside the views, the clicks and the sales, so what ran and how it was labelled is in one place.
